If the manufacturing world had its own dictionary and each year celebrated ‘newcomer phrase of the year’, the past 2-3 years would have seen ‘Circular Economy’ as a clear candidate for a place in the listings of new vocabulary. Alongside the United Nations’ ‘Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’ and the now well matured mantra of ‘Resource Efficiency & Cleaner Production’, the notion of transitioning from a take-make-use-waste (or linear) economy to a whole new circular mind-set is a notion that has taken hold within the Danish society.
