Glomma Industrier offers office/general use furniture refurbishment to extend the lifetime of old furniture and keep it in the loop for as long as possible.
Norwegian Glomma Industrier has produced furniture for more than 50 years, and since 2009 the company has also offered furniture refurbishment. The lifetime of old furniture is extended, when it is returned to Glomma Industrier. Glomma Industrier’s refurbishment activities include washing, repairing, reupholstering and reinforcing or replacing weak parts with original parts; sometimes the furniture even ends up in better condition than when it was new, due to some modifications. The excess materials from the refurbishment is used again e.g. for insulation, and thereby 90% of all incoming materials are reused in new products. The aim for the future is to reach 100% recycling of materials. In recent years, furniture refurbishment has become the main business for Glomma Industrier conquering new production. The refurbishment is mainly offered as service agreements with large companies and public institutions in Norway that wish to reuse old furniture rather than buying new, but also through collaboration with retailers of used furniture.
